wow, seems like a good deal. i hear this router w/ dd-wrt is really good. might go in on this... heck, at this price, maybe get 2, turn 1 into an access point, and stream my HD media from my computer. any feedback on that situation? anyone have any advice streaming 720p and > content over LAN? thanks OP.

I own this router.. I stream movies/tv shows to my ps3 all the time. I do run into interference problem with the router and 2.4 ghz cordless phones.. I bought this router 100 bucks about a year ago. This is a good deal.

Picked this up at CC last weekend and flashed with DD-WRT. Only complaint is signal strength seems a little weeker than my old Buffalo G router. But still great deal for a N router.

I'm assuming it won't do 5GHz....crap, otherwise a good deal.

What I don't get is there are very few "N" routers with gigabit wired connections. All over the 150$ mark at least.

I'm waiting for a cheaper router with both so I can stream between the 2 with the wireless as the bottleneck, not the wire.

just gotta let you guys know that I've owned this router for about 9 months. without ddwrt, it lost connection and required full reset every 20 minutes. with ddwrt, it lost connection and required full reset once a day. imagine being in the middle of dota when the lag suddenly gets ridiculous... frequently i had to connect my computer through wired ethernet straight to the cable box (so that no one else in my house could use internet). it got so bad that i went ahead and bought the wrt54gl on a deal a few days/weeks ago.

btw all the problems im mentioning are through wired connection; i won't even start with the wireless issues. so right now mine is sitting in a box. i really recommend you compare the newegg reviews of this model to G series routers before buying.

In the real world, 100baseT wired will beat 802.11n wireless every time. It's not even close.

I bought one of these for someone and wireless N devices only connect at 54mbps. So does this serve any advantage over regular wireless G?

I bought this one from Amazon to connect my SagaTV Extender and retuned it. DONOT count on it to stream your HD video. Its speed is very unstable and frequently got lower than my old Zyxel Z-550. I end up with this item: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000QG6534 (at $99), which definitely outpeforms any N routers.
