I just recieved this in my email. I checked out the other Amazon Prime threads but didn't see this posted in any of them. This post may need to be merged.

this will still give you the rest of the month of prime, it will just make sure that they dont automatically bill you 79 USD when the month is over.
click on "your account" on the top right of any page
scroll down to "Manage Your Amazon Prime Membership" and click it
click on "Do Not Upgrade"
in the pop up window, click on "turn off auto upgrade"
