Since this is could be used for students, here is some pretty important Software that does NOT work with Vista64 bit (I used Ultimate x64). Most other software will work. Just know what you are getting. If you want this thing to work "seemlessly" go with 32-bit

Logitech Quick Cam Pro for Notebooks ->( I Have the Logitech quickcam deluxe which does work with Vista 64. I do not see why the pro would not)

Unless I messed something up, the same configuration through Dell totaled to $1074 (minus any coupons you might have and any cashback programs you might use...)
I don't think I can find a way to save over $300 to match the specs and the price.

Should I jump?

I dont know why its gotten the thumbs down. If you go to dells site right now and configure this machine with the same spec, it will cost more.

the MAJOR downside that I see to buying a BB Dell is that Dell does not service the PC, bestbuy does. This right here is a deal breaker for me unless the pc is practically being given away.
