thanks, got one for my mom's birthday... we've been borrowing my neighbor's 3 year old Magellan and that one was a piece of crap...

The new nuvi line seems to have terrible speakers. Might just be the two I have seen, but they were in no way comparable to the sound quality and level of the several SPs I have seen.
Great deal, might actually buy one as a backup when my car's GPS does not know the road or if I'm traveling in a rental car. |

BTW: Anyone who thinks this is not a good price - think again. This has mp3, built-in bluetooth, free traffic updates, 2009 maps with free download, security lock, etc. I plug it into my car speaker system with the headphone jack. This should be on the FRONT PAGE. Also, the c580 was only recently discontinued. It was active on the Garmin website a few weeks ago.
