yes, just make sure it's XP sp2 or you might run into driver issue
or if you can find someone who has the 901 with XP on it, they can lend you the XP recovery disk and you're set(with a genuine XP)
i'd lend you one but I just didn't bother making a copy first, but go to asus user forum i'm sure they'll help a brother out
