talk about debating... I bought the Telo from Costco for $218 ($199.999 + tax) and then stumbled at this yesterday night... after reading a few posts here in SD, some users have said this model is better quality than the new one. Then pulled the trigger on this one.

Also, this one does not have the $11.95 yearly regulatory fee [ooma.com](low fee, though).

Now, which one do I keep? Currently planning to return the Telo to Costco, since this one comes with a scout.

BTW, total after BCB and 10% Amazon Passphrase would make it around $160.00 (assuming BCB works, i.e., the whole talk about BCB being invalid after coupons, etc).

stick with the hub & scout unless you want to use Costco's lifetime return policy just incase ooma goes under (which doesnt seem like happenning, anytime soon at least.)

You could check this comes with a free handset for the Telo that is priced at $50 regularly.

The Costco deal is better because it gives you $100 credit for international calls (which I use) + 6 months premium (though great, I really don't need it).

If I get this, how much is my yearly bill for premium? I hadn't been keeping up.

I have a voip now that I pay about 135.00 per year but it's not reliable at all.

i hate to go off topic. but costco has a lifetime return policy? can someone chime in on this

don't think it's lifetime as it used to be... I understand it is two years for this time of product. Computers is 3 months.

What is the secret word for 15% bing?

I got just 5% going through Bing... tried searching for lots of words, but did not even get a J&R link, had to click on Cashback Stores and then J&R.

BTW, for those who have Discover can get a 5% instead of using Bing... Discover is probably a safer bet than Bing.

sorry to hear that mate... try it again, though. I did not have problems, used the Amazon Passphrase without problems.

If I just use the basic OOMA service, is there a way to call forward without getting the premier? I have Google Voice if that means anything.

The only reason I would really need OOMA premium is for the call forwarding.

I go to Bing and search for Ooma and get this link [bing.com] where JR isn't one of the stores listed.

Is there another way to find it?

I did PayPhrase and Bing. The PayPhrase total was still $189... does the discount come later (payphrase discount)? :confused:

Not that I know of. GV won't help, since that would only allow you to forward calls to your Ooma number if someone called your GV number.
