That's true but if you ever bought the first bad company game all the first print or initial release of the game were limited edition. You can look on amazon, there isn't a standard edition. All pre-orders are for the limited edition bad company 2. I'm pretty certain this is for the guide and they screwed up on the description.

Will Steam let you cancel a pre-order? I know they laugh at refunds for crappy games. This is one game I would prefer with my PC friends and I thought it looked better on a decent PC over the 360 graphics.

The reason that a lot of places aren't selling the standard edition is because the limited edition is basically the preorder "bonus". Iinstead of recieving a $10 gift card or something, you get the limited edition for the standard price. At least, that's the case with Amazon and I'm sure others are doing the same.

It wouldn't make sense to have both the limited and standard editions selling for the same price at once. I'm sure that after the game releases, you'll see the limited edition go up in price and the standard edition being sold for the normal price. At least, that's my thoughts. I could be totally wrong.

I'm on the fence about this one, I was going to order the PS3 version on Amazon (as well as Heavy Rain) with gift cards, but $20 is too good to pass up... I hope everyone who orders get it! :P

There's both single and multiplayer. It doesn't cost extra to play the multiplayer portion.

Wow found out it was for pc, dont think my gpu can run it on high, so not worth it. I have a 9800gt, any thoughts? Recommended is a gtx260, which is a tier up.

PC beta is crap. Canceled my order through steam after playing it. Hoping for a final demo when its released.

I think the Beta is fantastic. Weird. I wish people would go into depth about their opinion. For all I know your system could be crap and you can't play the game so you label the game as crap.

No it ran very smooth all graphics cranked. It's worse game play than BF2, but better graphics. Maybe, just maybe, the final release will be much better.

I had to lower my gfx settings from medium to low res at 1920x1200 on my Nvidia 260, but play is silky smooth. I think the gfx are not optimized very well yet so people are thinking they should be on Medium or high and getting terrible game play.


So if you are in or have tried the beta, lower your overall settings to low and see if it helps.

well for $20 I'd buy the game, but I can't say at the moment with the beta it isn't worth the $40+. I really liked battlefield 2, but this doesn't feel like it at all for those who are curious how it resembles another game. I'd almost say this game is trying to be a bit like modern warfare, but not as well executed. Just don't expect it to play as 2142 or battlefield 2 because it doesn't feel the same at all. Feels a bit worse to me, but maybe I just need to adjust.

I must be out of the loop or something because I think the game play is awesome. I have much more fun in BC2 then Cod4 or BF2. It feels like your actually in a warzone in this game. With all the crap going on around you, buildings crumbling, etc. I never really got that feeling of immersive-ness in Cod4 or BF2. In fact, I wish I never bought either game because I've only ever played them a couple times at a LAN party. They just didn't "click" for me I guess...

Maps are too small to have that true BF2 feel.

Points aren't hard to come by as you go further in the game and unlock the better weapons and special upgrades. The first few lvls are the hardest because your stuck with the crappy weapons while other people have better weapons and you usually die in 1v1 head on gunfights. I'm lvl 8 after 2 weeks of gameplay and I don't know how many pts that is but I think you max out at 11 in the beta.

I called B&N online customer service.

He said that the UPC didn't matchup and the price is a mistake.

This game runs fine on my system with everything turned up 4xAA Q9550 @ 3.6GHz/5870. I like this much better than CoD4. Sure it's not true Battlefield as the maps are small but it's the next best thing to hold us over until Battlefield 3 comes out later this year or early next year.
