I've never heard of this brand. Curious how long they last compared to Duracell or Energizer.

Check your local IKEA

Enercell batteries that are of a standard size (i.e. AA, AAA, C, D, etc.) are made by Rayovac. (Wikipedia [wikipedia.org]) This is true for a lot of store brands (i.e. Ace Hardware batteries used to be made by Duracell but are now made by Rayovac as well).

I'll skip on the deal simply because I still have some left over from a similar deal a year ago .

JimB 08-08-2010 06:36 AM

Nothing scientific, but I've used these in remotes, cameras and mice with very good results.

Most people do not need 40 batteries.

habby 08-08-2010 07:01 AM

I think my walmart has 50 rayovac AA for 15 bucks

StarNova 08-08-2010 07:02 AM

Can I purchase just one of these and get free shipping? It says free ground shipping on this product.

JimB 08-08-2010 07:02 AM

Credit to Maxcom at the other site for finding these 40 AA for $6.17 [radioshack.com]in-store only. They're not available near me, but some of you may be lucky to find them.

I bet most slickdealers go through batteries like crazy. I know I do.

topsales 08-08-2010 07:17 AM

I just ordered one set and FedEx ground shipping is free. It will take the charges off at checkout.

that's 30 cents a piece, while the Radioshack ones are 25 cents each.

JimB 08-08-2010 07:21 AM

In for 2 AA and 1 AAA, with free ship. Thanks kids toys eat through batteries. Great for Christmas gifts.

rogibaby 08-08-2010 07:41 AM

I'm in. We go through batteries pretty fast...and the rechargeables aren't for everything

shockrock3 08-08-2010 07:44 AM

Thanks OP....though I can find the $6.17 deal near me, it would be over $5 in gas to get there so the $10 shipped is the way I'm going.

kokodesu 08-08-2010 08:54 AM

I've used quite a few of Radioshack's batteries. They are far better than the ones occasionally on sale at batteries.com and are comparable to the top brands. There may be a small difference between them and the best sellers, but the difference isn't worth the higher price asked.

1me2ao 08-08-2010 09:05 AM

b and m had them listed at 19.99 and they ring up at 9.99 at 77566. only double aa left..

I agree. I bought a gross on ebay before - thats 144 AA batteries. I sold about half to friends and thought I still had way too many. fast foward a year later and - amazing how the need for AA's just keep popping up.

So? That's not as good a deal as the OP's.

erick99 08-08-2010 12:50 PM

If you are a RS employee you get 30% off which makes it an incredible deal at $7. So find a friend that works there :)

JimB 08-09-2010 07:37 AM

Do RS employees get 30% off everything? Or just accessories?

ironman69 08-09-2010 09:53 AM

No more free shipping?

C1787GJ 08-09-2010 03:43 PM

If buying them in store don't forget the Entertainment book coupons, 10 off 40 and 15 off 60 I believe.

JimB 08-09-2010 07:49 PM

Right above the picture of the batteries, it says "Buy 2 Or More & Get Free Shipping". Did you proceed to check out and see if it is taken off at the end? If it doesn't I would just call in the order.
