For best Fishburne (Cowboy Curtis) embarrassing moments... gotta watch the episode where he's nervous about going out on a date with Miss Yvonne-- or the one with the sleepover and he doesn't have pajamas because he sleeps in the nude :lmao::lmao: good times :D

I already have the sets & I have to say they still hold up today. My 4 year old daughter loves them! But fun for adults too.

noeffort 08-30-2010 11:13 AM

Too bad PeeWee got caught playing with his Peewee in Public....
My favorite character was Capt. Carl (Phil Hartman).

The only bad part is that it wasn't caught on tape.

Great price but I think I will hold out until October, when all 5 seasons plus the Christmas special will be released in one boxed set.

I was wondering when the lame, unoriginal jokes would start. Didnt take long. Regardless of what he did, this is still an entertaining show. I bet my 4 year old daughter would love it. To buy or not to buy....

Get them, your 4 year old will love it. Mine does and so do my other kiddos. But DH doesn't :P Much better than most of the stuff on tv nowadays.

gowensby 08-30-2010 01:22 PM

I bought these a few years ago and it confirmed that he was ahead of his time. What was frantic and fast-paced then is normal today. My kids were engaged.

You can already order the box set on Amazon for $35.99. I already have the Christmas episode, was free from Zoompanel.

nfg1984 08-30-2010 01:43 PM

Almost bit on this before i realized it wasn't blu ray. Please specify DVD somewhere in title or post.

surprisesaver 08-30-2010 01:47 PM

I still like DVD for the kids portable DVD players. Thanks!

I think it will be another 5-7 years before peewee will ever see blu-ray...if that is even the format then

Blu ray? Really? or is that a joke. I'm pretty sure that this show was shot in 480i. You're lucky it's not on Betamax.

Some people really want to see the individual threads in Pee Wee's bright red bow tie. "So real!"

thetony 08-30-2010 02:17 PM

The Christmas special is available seperately, and appears to be on sale as well. For $32.47, you'd essentially have the same contents as the box set released this fall for less.

Oh, I'm sure your 4 year old daughter would love it. And later, when she grows up and discovers her childhood hero was a degenerate caught in the act... well that will be a fun conversation as to why you introduced it to her.

If your 4 year old daughter grows into a uptight scold with nothing better to do than tut-tut her parents for introducing her to a brilliant children's show that was made by a guy who got busted for minding his own business (pun intended) in the wrong place at the wrong time then your DVD purchasing choices are the least of your problems.

I am anal about purchasing complete collections/boxed sets, I just put in my pre-order for this one.

I know many adults who can't watch more than three minutes of the Boohbahs without freaking out completely and leaving the room.

Wow, I never thought I'd see that kind of trolling on SD. That is a troll, right?
