FINAL TTS GUIDE for DUMMIES:
So we can move on to map talk - this is ALL you have to do to get TTS:
Basically move some files into the correct folders on your Mio using your PC
***>>> Everything is done using your PC except steps 12-18 ***
1) Make sure you have unlock your Mio! I am using MioPocket in these instructions
2) Plug your Mio into your PC with a Mini USB cable - most Windows devices use this
And then check to see if you can find it under 'MyComputer' or 'Computer'
If not, just power off & on your Mio - ie rebooting it - so your PC can see it
Make sure you see it as C320 or FlashDrive before moving on.
You can also soft reboot using the 'X' box in the upper right hand corner of MioPocket main screen
3) Locate the 'MYFLASHDISK/MIOMAP/MIOMAP/MAPS' folder on your Mio
Cut & move to your PC about 10-15 states files you won't need immediately.
Make sure you keep this neat, just in case you need them in the future.
You can move all but your immediate home state locations if you'd like.
We are freeing up room on the Mio internal flashdrive.
4) Download this zip file - TTS_PPC. zip - to anywhere on your PC > from here http://www.filefactory.com/file/cec127/
5) Extract the TTS_PPC.zip onto your pc anywhere.
It will create a TTS_PPC/SPEECH folder that contains 2 subfolders (components & rssolo).
6) Then just highlight the entire TTS_PPC folder that you just unzipped in step 4 above & Ctrl C to ‘copy’.
7) Locate the 'MYFLASHDISK/MIOMAP/MIOMAP' folder on your Mio via your PC
**** This is the part where ppl screw up ***
Most likely you don't have the TTS_PPC folder on your Mio, therefore you just 'create it' by copying it over!
8) Ctrl V to paste the TTS_PPC folder into that file in #6.
You know u copied to the right place if there is another file already there called miomap.exe
9) Also in the TTS_PPC/SPEECH/Components folder on your Mio locate these 3 files:
RSSOLOAPI, COMBRK, and COMRSRC (they might not have .DLL behind them but they are the only 1's with those names).
Copy them to the 'MYFLASHDISK/MIOMAP/MIOMAP' level - once again U know u copied to the right place if there is another file already there called miomap.exe
10) Download all 3 voice files from here:

Download file v_tts_nu_eng_us_f2.zip (modified Samantha-TTS Voice US) at http://www.filefactory.com/file/226f09/
Download file v_tts_nu_eng_us_f3.zip (Jill-TTS Voice US) at http://www.filefactory.com/file/874a55/
11) DON'T UNZIP THEM! just copy them over to Mio/'MYFLASHDISK/MIOMAP/MIOMAP/VOICE' folder
12) Safely USB Disconnect Mio from computer
13) Go to MioMaps on your Mio
14) Click on Settings
15) Click on Languages
16) Click on Voice Language and pick English (US) TTS - Samantha TTS or the other 2 that you brought over - then OK
17) Click back arrow until your at your map
18) YOU'RE ALL DONE - Run your route.
