How does the My WishList clock work?
When you load My WishList, the site synchronizes with our master clock. This master clock is synchronized with the U.S. government time server at the National Institute of Standards and Technology at nist.gov. All products are released based on this master clock.
Please note the internet makes it virtually impossible to keep perfect time. This means that there may be a slight gap (approximately three (3) seconds) between the clock displayed on your computer and the clock we are using to release products. The American Express determination on the order of respondents is final.
Opening multiple browser windows will probably cause your flash movie to run slowly—which in turn will cause the clock to run slowly. For best results, open one instance of My WishList in one browser window.
If I have questions on my order, what number should I call?
Call 1-800-824-3327 from 9:00AM and 8:00PM ET, seven days a week, beginning November 28, 2006, through December 14, 2006. After the promotion ends, please call the same number between 9:00AM and 5:30PM ET, Monday through Friday, from December 15, 2006, through January 13, 2007. Please have your confirmation/order number available. We will include tracking information on your confirmation e-mail.

Yes, You need an AMEX to participate!
Where is my CID?

Do I need to have the amount of the purchase available on my card?
Yes, it's treated like a normal purchase. If you don't have the available credit, you can't purchase it. If you need a higher credit limit, call and ask them to raise it.
What's the deal with wish certificates?
If you get one, you must still put in your credit card number, but it will not be charged. They are paper coupons to use at various retailers (sometimes with a code to use online).
Can I get more than 4 wish certificates if I have multiple AMEX cards?
Technically, yes, but during the holiday wishlist they started banning people's IP who tried to go over the limit by using multiple cards or multiple addresses.
What about taxes?
The difference between the retail price and the price of the purchase is considered taxable income! Sometimes AMEX will pay taxes for big ticket items (trips, car, etc.). They do however send you a 1099 if you get multiple smaller items that total over $600. If you find the item cheaper than their "retail price", you can use that to adjust the difference when doing your taxes next year.
How do I win?
Just click! There's not many more secrets to this. Try clicking right on time, and if you don't get it, keep clicking. Many times, people will win a prize and either not be able to pay for it, or have it time out on them. For this reason, many prizes don't go until much later than when they are originally released.
