The Z5300e is better in terms of power and clarify, IMO. I've listened to both, and I like the Z5300e's better. That being said, this is definitely a good deal for a 5.1 setup, even if it's not the best.

Edit: on second thought, where did you find the Z5300e's for $70-80?

Price doesn't change the quality of the speakers, but they certainly changes the "value." I mean, if you were shopping for a computer, and you had a chance to buy a Dell XPS system for the same price as the basic Dimension unit, wouldn't you do it?

So hell yeah, the Buy.com deal is way better. Thumbs up!
