Free Blackberry Pearl Upgrade-Sams Club and TMobile
This is my first post, so please forgive me if I make a mistake. I was in Sam's Club today and they are offering a Blackberry Pearl free with a 2 year upgrade. You may also get this deal with new service. In all of my years with T-Mobile, I have not seen such a great upgrade deal. I would have had to pay $149.00 going with t-mobile after a $50.00 mail in rebate. You must be at the point of a full handset upgrade (meaning that I had to have at least 22 months from my last 2 year upgrade) to get this deal. I walked out of the store with a ruby red blackberry pearl for free. I can't tell you how excited that I was!

Did you sign up for the Dataplan. It's available at amazon.com as well if that is the case.

No, it is being sold as a new Pearl. Retail value if you were not doing an upgrade is $349.00. I have it.

Just an FYI

Most of the cell phone kiosks at Sam's Clubs are owned by RadioShack. They go by the name SCKiosks.

The deals can be really good, its just important to know who you are dealing with.

I saw this today too. On top of getting a free Pearl they are also doing a $50 Bill Credit which you can't get on Amazon. I am waiting until next week because T-Mobile is doing a free airline ticket promotion if you sign up on Black Friday. You do need to do a 2 year plan, but data is not required. T-Mobile as an unlimited email package for $9.99 too.

I work at SCK, and I think that you may have made a mistake, unless the Kiosk you visited is running a deal other than the company-wide deal. We're currently offering the BlackBerry Pearl from T-Mobile free with a NEW 2-year agreement (meaning new customer). If you look below the big "FREE" on the price tag, you'll see that the price is something above $100 if you want to add the phone onto your family plan (lines 3-5), and I THINK its 199.87 with a 2-year upgrade (for existing customers). The $50 dollar bill credit is also available for NEW activations only.

I don't know if this is different than the SCK kiosk deal or not.

I do know I have been a T-Mobile customer for 6 years. My plan was at the 22 month point. The advertisement on my phone listed it this way....2 year membership or upgrade cost 0. 1 year upgrade was 199.00, no upgrade was $349.00. I walked out of the store with my blackberry and paid nothing.

There was a sign for the $50.00 bill rebate, but that was never part of our discussion so I don't know how they were running that deal. I never even considered it to be part of my deal.

My hubby and I also walked out with 2 new Blackberrys today not having to pay a thing. We were going to buy one last week at Costco. I'm glad we waited. Thanks OP!

This is what I found out tonight. Sam's Club owns some of the kiosks in their clubs. The one that I went to is owned by Sam's and they are the one's putting on the deal. Those owned by SCK (Radio Shack), are not offering the same deal. Their deal is $199.00 for a 2 year upgrade. So I guess this would be a YMMV deal. Ask if your Sam's Club phone kiosk is operated by Sam's. We have 5 in the area, and only one kiosk is run by Sam's Club.

My T-mobile contract is up and a blackberry upgrade is $149 for me. What state/area are you from? I'd like to check it out.

tmobile business has this phone for $49.99 after $50 rebate, you have to open a new account or add a new line to your current plan, and it's a 1 year contract

I live in Kansas City. We have 2 Sams that operate their cell phone kiosk. You would need to ask at the Kiosk if they run their cell phone kiosk or if it is run by Sams Club. You can probably call and ask. This promotion is going on until Dec. 22.
