the "retail prices" on the amazon "Pinzon" merchandise are the most ridiculous things I've seen. This stuff isn't worth any more than the "80% off" price at best. I'm confident that you can find equivalent things at your local ross/tj maxx/marshalls/whatever for the same "80% off" price any day

probably agree, however that would mean we'd have to getout of the house and drive there

Not true in my case! I think Pinzon is top notch on the things I bought. The knife set 16pc Is great!! My friends also bought it and love it. Compares to knife set 4 times the price.. Also The wine openers are the same quality as the rabit but not in a pretty case and 1/4 the price.

Fair enough. Agreed. Plus taxes for those of us who live in places where they screw us with sales tax. But I'm not sure I'd play up the "80% off" though.

I still seriously doubt that the "Pinzon" stuff compares to something that actually does cost 4 times as much, and I still definitely think the "retail price" is bullshit. But thanks for your feedback on the quality being decent.
