Chip: G92
Core clock: 600MHz
Memory Clock: 1800MHz

Here You can find more about XFX Compatibility List (PDF File): Link [xfxforce.com]

The Chip: The 8800GT is built off the code name G92 architecture, which is a derivative of the G80 architecture that provides the foundation for the 8800GTS/GTX systems. The main changes made to the G92 are the 65nm production process, and rolling in the display, and video processing chips directly into the GPU. The number of transistors has increased from 681 million to 754 million. Despite the larger number of transistors, the G92 chip is almost half the size of the G80 and consumes significantly less power, due to the 65nm technology.

Note: Non-refundable. Exchange for defective unit(s) only.

Seems like everyone's shooting their deals, is it all because of the April release of the new series?

I would say it is a better deal than a 9600GT. The 8800GT beats it at stock speeds, although only by a few frames. I would get the 8800GT because it has more shading power for future games. It may not seem like a big advantage now, but when more games come out that use shaders then the performance gap will start to increase between the two. Of course by then maybe there will be a new midrange champ. the 9600GT is a good part if you want performance now but the 8800GT will be a bit more future "proof". Really it's not a big price difference, $30 bucks maybe, so I would get the better card.
