Wow, that note was full of "guess we should match to get profits but try not to do it when you can cause we're farking greedy". I hate BB.

Wow! This is great. Too bad I just bought a PS3 from Best Buy. Do you think there's a chance they'll give me the $100 GC since I purchased the PS3 within the last 30 days?

They will, if not buy another ps3 w/ the deal and take back the new one w/ your new ps3 and old reciept. Or just tell them you are going to do what I just said and they might change their mind. It works, once they wouldn't replace my broken car charger so I bought a new one and took it back to the exact same CSR and returned my broken one. Theres nothing they can do about it.

Anyone remember the "special" sku that was leaked that would make BB pricematch ToysRUs's offer about the free $25 giftcard w/ purchase of Super Mario Galaxy? Well that deal involved SDers, FWers, and the like making the BB CSRs use the sku (some probably a little too pushy about it) to get a $25 BB giftcard when they bought SMG at Best Buy. This in turned alarmed BB employees with how did so many customers know about this magical sku that not even they knew about, and things started to smell fishy. Some SDers, from what I've read, were even accused of committing fraud and that they were stealing from their store; the manager went off on them. Apparently too many customers made the clueless CSRs from that particular store to use the insider sku.

...where I'm getting with this is that we have to figure out a way to be more conspicuous with this kind of insider info or you'll ruin it for everyone. If anyone has any suggestions so as not to make it so obvious that we (the customer) just pulled a sku out of our ass to get a free GC, then please suggest away.

Like say, what if you mention the Walmart promo and ask them if they PM and they say, "Sorry, no."? What would you do?

What if the CSR didn't read the memo (as most do not), will you break out a printed copy of the OP's scan and show it to them?

I just can't wait to see how this thread will turn out.

If you have some money you could buy a ps3 get the giftcard and then buy another ps3 w/ the $100 giftcard so it is $299.00. Then return the other ps3 and new giftcard. So the ps3 is $299.00
