Verizon Unlimited Data Plan NOW $29.99 Per Month (was $45)
Verizon has lowered their unlimited data plan from $45 to $30 per month for several of their PDAs.

Call verizon or check online to find out if your phone qualifies for the lowered price.

My PPC (i760) was added to the cheaper data plan on 8/15/08, so if your PDA is not yet added it probably will be soon. For example the SMT5800 was added back in May so like I said check with Verizon.

Below is a list of PDAs which have been confirmed compatilble with this new plan

i760
700Wx
SMT5800
XV6800
Q9m

The $29.99/month unlimited plan does not support Exchange, which should primarily impact enterprise users. The new data plan will provide unlimited access to the web and up to 10 personal e-mail accounts, including free Internet email providers such as Windows Live, AOL and Yahoo.

Are you tethering? Under this new plan tethering goes from $15 a month to $30. If you want to tether for free with this new plan, GOOGLE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND (pm me if your google challenged).

Hope this is not a repost, if it is so what I tried.

I had to take a second look at the post date but I'm sure I'm correct in saying that you must been living under a rock for the last few months. I've been rocking this plan for at least 2 months and I've been using pdaconnect with my 6900 to tether.

This is old news and I quote "GOOGLE IS YOUR BEST FRIEND (pm me if your google challenged)."

8/15 is when it was available for my PPC so I felt obligated to share, and its PDAnet not PDAconnect.

If you knew about it why didnt you post it here for the benefit of others?

Yes this is a great program which I do use. For faster download/Upload speeds I tether using ICS via USB.

No worries,

Got my info from PDAPhoneHome forums. Was very surprised I didn't see it posted here. Anything that saves someone $$ from verizon should be posted immediately.

Any word on whether this lowers any bundled voice/data plans? I am very interested in a 450 minute / month voice plan bundled with data access, but am not interested in paying $60-80+ / month for it.

Has anyone tried to use this for Blackberries? I'm currently on a family share plan for minutes so the way the unlimited data add-on is the $45 that was mentioned. I'll call to see if I can have them drop it to $29.99. That will save me about $180 a year!!!

Saxman, I'm not sure there is such a thing. iphone is $75 a month (450 min) and verizon is about $80 for 450 minutes + unlimited data. I just got the Verizon LG-Dare and love it!

Dare is a great phone unless compared to a PPC, then its just a glorified phone. No wifi and third party app compatibility makes it useless for my needs.

Unless a phone can install SkyFire for internet browsing I don't want anything to do with it.

My son wanted the voyager until he found out you cant connect to hotspots or watch any type of video without paying verizon their monthly dues (which really add up).
