The 1600 Live Points Card is usually a $20 item, so essentially this essentially allows you to buy $20 worth of songs or other Xbox Live content. Even if you see it as a $16 item (which currently Amazon has it on sale for (they're also discounting the 4000pt card -- see front page deal), it's pretty much making the game cost between $40-$44 (before sales tax in KS, KY, ND, NY, WA).

Excellent deal for me, it comes to a free 1600 point xbox live card. I ordered Rockband 2 from amazon earlier this week, so when I get this second copy in I will just return it as the original. It makes it so I dont even have to email their customer support.

well that kinda sucks for those of us who pre-ordered the game from Amazon! I'm emailing them now to see if they'll PM the points card. I'll let you guys know.

I was going to buy RB2 off of Gamefly, but for $10 more (I have Prime), getting RB2, a 1,600 points card, and two day shipping, seems like the right choice.

Although, I actually just ordered a points card last night, haha, better go cancel that (even though I also had my amazing Gold Box deal of an additional 0.50c off!).

Q: i bought one at Gamestop and have used it. Can I get this from Amazon and return the same game to Gamestop? Will they know if it was from another retailer?

Awesome. Yesterday I ordered 2 1600 point cards because of the $16 deal. I decided to add Rock Band 2 to my order on a whim.
So when I saw this deal I felt like I got ripped off - I just bought the 2 together yesterday, and now they're on sale! But apparently Amazon is cooler than I expected. I just checked the status of my order, and they already deducted the cost of one of the 1600 point cards automatically! My order total is now $16 less than it was yesterday. Nice.
