i noticed the dslites at walmart last night, if i didn't already have a normal DS, i would have gotten it.. anyone know if EBGames or Gamestop is offering a trade-up Normal DS to a DS Lite thingy?

apparently a few people have been able to scoop up the new Nintendo DS Lite at their local Target, Walmart and K-Mart. The scheduled release date is June 11th in North America. Although not a slick deal as far as the price but pretty slick being able to pick one up 11 days before it releases. I figure we should start a thread so people can report what kind of success they have in their areas. I'll be heading out soon and will be back later to post my results.

My son (DS fanatic) tried one of these and said he didn't like/want one. Sorry I don't have specifics, he just said he would rather keep his old full sized DS as he didn't like the feel of the lite version.

you can watch this short video about the differences between the old and new nintendo ds. i don't think there's anything to not like. it's gonna be sweet.

This thing is smaller than the PSP and that is about it's only appeal unless you are a Nintendo fan.
