I use WinRar but got it for free from their site, same version v3.51

why not just use 7-zip

Because 7-Zip's compression is often not as good as WinRar's and because WinRar has a FAAAAR great userbase.

7-zip doesn't support ACE, I have a free copy of WinACE for ACE files, but I'm going to switch to WinRAR this weekend.
