All the ones I see I don't quite trust to work properly.

the enclosure deal has been around for some time now....
couldn't find out how reliable the rebates are .....so I didn't buy.

There was one guy that said the rebates were not reliable. Didn't want to take a chance.

Headphones or Enclosure might be a decent deal but there are better DVD media deals out there on a daily basis. Buy.com has 100 16x verbatims for $19.99 AR with Free shipping.

Not sure about the USB card either.

30$ isn't too bad, they all work well, but no fans. luckily i just run them an hour or a two at a time to do backups.

I had a rebate from rosewill (the headphones) and it was fairly painless and did come.

At least for me, if you purchase the headphones, USB card, and the 3.5" drive enclosure cost with shipping is $12.59 AR - $3.20 shipping per item.

According to reviews, the AMS enclosure pales in comparison to the AMS Venus DS-2316CBK. Those are rock solid. Apparently, it's discontinued (sounds like for good reason), as it's not on AMS' site: http://www.american-media.com/pro...ds/ds.html
