Free IPOD Shuffle - Open CHASE Free Checking ($500 deposit) 6/1 - 6/30
Look like CHASE is having and IPOD deal like Citibank. This was in my Sunday paper today (CT Post). Unsure if it is for entire US or just CT.

-Open a new CHASE FREE Checking account with Direct deposit
- Minimum Opening Deposit of $500
- Sign Up for "Online Bill Pay"and pay 2 different bills online by 8/30/05
- Valid 6/1 to 6/30
- Checking Account must stay open for 6 months or the value of reward will be deducted.

The Citibank deal you need $1500 opening deposit, this one is $500, alittle more resonable for a broke ass like me.

Any Promo Codes?

Ahh...thx for posting the pics....

Looks like you have to go B&M for this deal as it says '...will recievea a redemption coupon from the banker'

Wondering if anyone else has seen this in the paper in their location or is it a region specific deal? Chi-town anyone?

it was in the paper in CT. This is the first I have seen this, but I would think CHASE would update there site with this promo soon. Then we can find out if its open to everyone or just CT...

Deducted from what? What if you have the shuffle in hand, clear out all the cash from an ATM, then walk in the bank and cancel the account?

Seems to be a pain anyway... I don't think dealing with paperwork for direct deposit for both establishing and cancelling the deposits is worth it. Unless of course you happen to be looking for a new bank anyway.

I wouldnt do it unless I was looking to open a checking account, or are looking for free checking (which I am). If your in that boat then the restrictions arent bad. Personally my free checking is up so I was looking into switching my account, so if I get a Ipod shuffle with it cool....

I'd seriously consider it if it was a Mini --- don't think I want to go through the trouble for a shuffle --- but if you need one.... good deal!

Can not find anything on www.chase.com. I will wait a few days and check again. This is a good deal.

Is this the 512mb or 1gb shuffle? Does anyone know if Chase if a free checkings account and if there is a fee for the bill pay? If yes, then I'd definitely go for this since its simple and you're not losing out on any money.

CITIZENS BANK is doing something similar, but for the IPOD MINI (or a $200 gift certificate to your choice of several stores). I saw it on their website last night, before I signed in to pay some bills. It's for opening a Circle Gold checking account, and I don't know what the limits are. For the lower/standard Circle Checking account, they're offering $100 instead.
